Susan Fielden
Susan Fielden CPFA is a qualified accountant with over 30 years of experience working with schools and education leaders.
After many years as the strategic finance lead for schools in Somerset, Susan joined the DfE for a year to work on national school funding policy. Since then, she has, through Effervesce, worked with schools, trusts, local authorities, sector bodies and financial system developers to help to improve the cost-effective use of resources for children and their learning.
Susan has been a CFO of a ten-school academy trust in Somerset and is delighted to work with the Confederation of School Trusts as their school funding specialist.
On a voluntary basis, Susan in a trustee at the Oak Partnership Trust and is vice-chair and chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.
Paul Fielden
Paul Fielden is a business and management consultant with extensive experience in management and senior leadership in large global organisations. Paul started his career making leather, progressing through managerial positions and international assignments. Following the completion of an MBA he joined IBM as a management consultant in 2000 and worked with automotive clients across the UK. Paul led a global team of automotive consultants before moving to Arcadis as global sector leader for automotive.
Paul joined Susan in Effervesce in 2020 with a focus on digitally enabled innovation that can drive business improvement and customer experience.
On a voluntary basis, Paul is a director of the Devizes To Westminster Canoe Race, the company behind the legendary 125 mile canoe race.
